“The Chosen” (Season Two) 8 episode video series began on Tuesday, May 10th !! We meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Parish Center. Each of the Chosen -Season Two videos is approximately 45 minutes and Deacon Rick Ashburn will facilitate a discussion after viewing each video. On this Friday, March 25th, the Feast of the Annunciation, Pope Francis will Consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. For those who can join us in person, The Rosary will be prayed after the 9 AM morning Mass at St Thecla’s. We encourage all our parishioners to pray the Rosary to honor the Immaculate Heart of Mary in unity with Pope Francis. The event will be broadcast live at NOON in Boston on EWTN ( local channel 237) and/or Catholic TV(local channel 268). The Catholic Appeal provides support for our Catholic schools, operational support for our parishes, faith and formation programs at our parishes, and many services for those in our community who turn to our Church for assistance. Father Martin Connor passed away on February 26th at the age of eighty-six. Fr. Connor’s first assignment was at Saint Mary’s., then as spiritual director at Saint John’s Seminary in Brighton, he helped at weekend Masses in Hanover. In 2004 he returned to Hanover to once again live and serve in this community until 2010. This Friday, March 25th will be our final evening of this 3 part "Gospel of Life- What Does that Really Mean?" series. All are welcome to attend this program from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Parish Hall. (This seminar will be available via Zoom as well.) A Holy Hour for Life in St. Mary's Church at 8:00 p.m. on March 25th will conclude this Lenten series.
Fridays at Noon during Lent we will gather at St. Mary's Church to pray the Station of the Cross. After our final April 8th Lenten Stations next week we will have a light lunch in the lower church (LifeHouse). This past weekend’s donation drive for Bethesda House was a huge success!! Not only for all of the donations but also in raising awareness for Bethesda House’s faith-based home and programs for new mothers and their babies located in Pembroke. It’s not too late to help! Donation are always welcome especially of new or like-new baby to teen clothing, shoes, maternity clothes, toys, children’s books and baby equipment. We are happy to announce that we will have a Christmas Eve Pageant this year at the 5:30 Mass! We will have our final "dress rehearsal" pageant practice on Wednesday, December 22nd from 4:30 to 5:30 PM at St. Mary's Church. On Wednesday, December 8, we will celebrate the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary with 9 a.m. Mass at St. Helen’s. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will immediate follow Mass from 9:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Please note extended Adoration Hours during Advent. Come pray with us!
