ST MARY'S ST. VINCENT DE PAUL is asking for your help!!!!! With the holidays coming up, we are asking parishioners to donate gifts of money, and or gift certificates to Shaw's and Stop and Shop so we are able to help fellow parishioners throughout the holiday season. At this time we do not have any Shaw's or Stop and Shop gift cards to give to those in need. You can leave your donation at the parish office.

ST MARY'S ST VINCENT DE PAUL GIVING TREE Our St. Mary's St. Vincent de Paul Giving Tree will be on display November 30th. There will be a variety of ornaments for parishioners to choose from, but due to difficult economic times, gifts of money will be the most needed to help families in our parish. Your support this year is truly needed.

STEWARDSHIP Twenty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time - November 16, 2008
"For to everyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich." (Mt 25:29) Good stewards are like the industrious and reliable servants in today's Gospel, prudently using and multiplying the gifts entrusted to them by God. For more information about stewardship at St. Mary's, please call Margie Gallagher at 781-826-4303.

CARNIVAL BAZAAR Special thanks to Karen and Brian Gill and their committee for running our Carnival Bazaar this past weekend. It was a great time for the kids and adults. We appreciated all the parishioners that made beautiful craft items for the different tables and those who came and supported this special parish event. It was a great success, thanks for sharing in this successful event.

COMFORT FOOD Many people have asked 'What is Comfort Food?' Comfort Food is a ministry within Saint Mary's Church that brings meals to those in need. Comfort Food has brought meals to the sick, those undergoing chemo, families who have experienced a loss and those who have undergone surgery and are temporarily unable to cook for themselves. More than 80 parishioners have volunteered to drop off a meal for those in need. How does it work? If you know someone who could use a little help, please contact Maura Dowling or Ellen McDonough. They will contact one of the Team Leaders; Patty Cockey, Chris Ashburn, Kathy Connelly or Barbara Budak. The Team Leader will contact you and ask about allergies, food preferences, etc., and send out a request to the ministry members who will be dropping off meals, usually a couple of times a week for 2-3 weeks. How can I help? If you would like to add your name to the list of volunteers, please email mdowling@stmaryshanover.com.
